Table Mountain, proudly recognised as one of the New7Wonders of Nature, is the only one located in an urban area, making it highly accessible. After a global voting campaign that attracted over 100 million votes, it secured its place among the world’s most iconic natural wonders.

Other winners include the Amazon, Ha Long Bay, Iguazú Falls, Jeju Island, Komodo, and Puerto Princesa Underground River. In December 2012, Table Mountain’s status was confirmed with an official plaque unveiling, followed by celebrations across Cape Town. Since 2013, Cape Town has honoured this achievement with giant yellow frames for unique views of the mountain
