The Drakensberg Mountains, known as uKhahlamba in isi-Zulu, are South Africa's highest peaks, reaching up to 3,482 m (11,422 ft). Spanning 1,000 km, they form the border between South Africa and Lesotho. The area is famed for its hiking trails, including the challenging Drakensberg Traverse, and is home to diverse wildlife such as Eland, Reedbuck, and the endangered Lammergeier.

The Drakensberg is also a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasting rock art from the ancient Bushman San people
